Studio Policies

Student Responsibilities

I work with each student to set goals and determine the appropriate amount of practice time necessary to achieve those goals. Students are expected to arrive for their lesson on-time, prepared, and eager to learn.

Materials

Students will be responsible to purchase technique books, etude books, and solo literature as assigned in a timely manner. Access to a quality instrument kept in good repair is essential.  

Cancellation Policy

In the event that a student cannot meet at their regularly scheduled lesson time, 24-hour notice is required for me to reschedule. If I am unable to attend a student’s regularly scheduled lesson, the missed lesson will either be rescheduled or refunded.

Parent Responsibilities

Family support and involvement is very beneficial to a student’s development. Parents are welcome, and encouraged, to attend their child’s lesson as long as that presence is not a distraction for the student. Please do not take phone calls during the lesson. If you need to bring siblings, bring a quiet activity for them so they are not disruptive to the lesson.
